The Wyrd Acre
Wild Wyrd Well is cultivating The Wyrd Acre, a ¾-acre community food and medicine forest, grounded in the belief that wellness is rooted in the plants themselves. This project invites community hands to help bring the vision to life: a medicinal and edible forest prioritizing Texas native plants, a community gathering space, and a living classroom on the land.
The Wyrd Acre Project
Community Days
To help get the project off the ground, The Wyrd Acre Project: Community Days will be offered as opportunities to give back to the land while developing hands-on skills. Together, we’ll practice everything from permaculture design and soil building to tending plants and medicine-making. Families, including children, are encouraged to participate. This project is an open invitation to give back and build community, whether it’s through offering your time, financial support, or needed materials.
Wyrd Acre
Wednesdays
In time, The Wyrd Acre will open on Wyrd Acre Wednesday. This will serve as an unstructured time when the gates will be open for Wild Wyrd Well community members who have joined in circle, consultation, or cultivation to drop in. These days will offer space to tend, harvest, and simply be with the land, sharing in the harvest and the community we are growing together.
The Wyrd Acre
Apothecary
As The Wyrd Acre grows and begins to offer its abundance, each harvest will be carried into The Wyrd Acre Apothecary, where workshops will guide the transformation of plants into medicines crafted directly from the land. The Apothecary is an expression of reciprocity, plants nurtured in community returning as healing for the community. Proceeds from the Apothecary will, in turn, sustain the growth, sustainability, and longevity of The Wyrd Acre.
