Join us for a hands-on community day at Wyrd Acre as we begin laying the foundation for the food and medicine forest! Together, we’ll explore practical soil-building techniques, learn how to utilize spent mushroom blocks for mycelial health, and get our hands dirty sheet mulching and planting a few trees to help the ecosystem take root.
Got cardboard or veggie scraps? We’ll glad take them! Please bring non-shiny cardboard (no tpe or metal) for our sheet mulching, and veggie scraps to nourish our new compost pile!
Please wear closed-toed shoes and work clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring gardening gloves, water, sunscreen, hat and any other comfort items. All materials are provided, just bring your willingness to learn, connect, and grow something beautiful together!
